WHAT DO WE DO?
We are estate agents. We handle the sale and purchase of residential and commercial property, amenity and agricultural land, building plots, woodland and businesses. We are also letting agents who let and manage residential and commercial properties on behalf of landlords to tenants.

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations)
Under this new legislation we must make anyone who provides us with data, aware of why we need it, what information we keep, how we store it, how long we will keep it for, who the information might be shared with and your statutory rights to view the information and or have it deleted.

WHY?
To perform our role efficiently we need to obtain and retain certain information about the people we deal with in our business every day. We also need to comply with current Money Laundering Regulations.

WHAT WILL WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION?
We will retain the details securely either in document form or digitally or both. The information will be shared with relevant parties, such as solicitors, surveyors, referencing companies, inventory companies.

THE DATA WE COLLECT

Vendors:
We collect their names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, passport or driving licence details, their personal utility company information,  also their solicitors, their financial advisors contact details as well as potentially, trades people and contractors.

Purchasers:
We collect their names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, also details of their IFA, surveyors, solicitors and potentially trades people and contractors.

Landlords:
We collect their names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, passport or driving licence details, their personal utility company information, as well as potentially, trades people and contractors.

Tenants:
We collect their names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, passport or driving licence details. We will also obtain details of their current employment, credit history, any criminal record, their previous addresses and landlord details.

Guarantors: 
We collect their names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, passport or driving licence details. We will also obtain details of their current employment, credit history, any criminal record, their previous addresses and landlord details.

INFORMATION ABOUT YOU WE MAY SHARE WITH OTHERS
Data sharing is part and parcel of our effectiveness in performing our role as an intermediary. In providing your information you consent to us sharing your data, specifically and only in connection with your dealings with our company. This may include, other estate agents, solicitors, independent financial advisors, surveyors, private contractors and trades people, inventory clerks, third party referencing companies and utility companies. We do not have any (AI) Artificial Intelligence software within our website making automated decisions about your information or building profiles of you.

HOW LONG WILL WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION?
We will retain the information you provide us with for a minimum period of 6 years and 6 months. This is to ensure that we can support any information requests by HMRC.

YOUR RIGHTS TO VIEW THE INFORMATION WE HOLD ABOUT YOU

  • Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’ (in writing to the address below) under the Data Protection Act 1998. If we do hold information about you, we will:
